The Central Ohio Fire Museum preserves and interprets the area's rich firefighting tradition. Set in an authentic 1908 engine house, it lies in the heart of the city, about three blocks east of Nationwide Arena. Visitors can view hand-drawn, horse-drawn, and early motorized fire technology, take a guided tour of the facility, and even get a lesson in fire safety. The Central Ohio Fire Museum is located just west of Columbus State Community College in downtown Columbus.
