Begun construction in 1811, the Orange Johnson House is one of the oldest standing structures in central Ohio. Purchased in 1816 by comb-maker Orange Johnson, this house contains many of its original pioneer-period furnishings and architecture. In addition to its Federal-style entryway and rooms, each containing a unique fireplace mantle, the kitchen actually has a "walk-in" fireplace/bread oven. The historic Orange Johnson House is located east of the Ohio State University Airport, in the Worthington area of Columbus.
