HORRIBLE Service, decent prices

MUST READ REVIEW!!! PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE GOING WITH 5TH AVE!!!! I'd like to start off this review by saying that I have never experienced service so exceptional or so horrendous to merit writing a review, however the service I received from 5th Ave was so horrible that it deserves my first-ever official review of a business. My experience went as follows: I wanted to purchase a $75 bouquet for my partner as a congratulations for completing their first major test in professional school. Knowing my partner's schedule, I requested if the delivery could be made in a 4 hour window. The employee at 5th ave informed me with reserved annoyance that the bouquet would go out on the next round of deliveries, and couldn't guarantee that it would fit in the window. I asked if a note could be made to make the bouquet later, or to hold off the delivery for a round so that it would be delivered the window I had requested. This time the employee didn't care to hide their annoyance at all, and informed me that this just couldn't be done. Finally, I asked if I could try calling back at a later time closer to the 4 hour window (which would be about an hour away), so that the bouquet could be made and delivered then. The employee told me I could do so, so long as I called before 2pm, which is when no more same-day delivery orders can be made. I called back at 1:45pm, getting a different 5th ave employee. This person had even less patience and respect for their customers than the last one I spoke with. They informed me that they were no longer taking orders for deliveries that day, and that I'd have to wait to have the flowers delivered tomorrow. I protested that the previous employee I spoke with told me I could call back later so long as it was before 2pm, which it clearly was. The employee didn't even apologize for the miscommunication, simply informing me that more orders had come in between my first call (which was just an hour before) and then, making it impossible to deliver the flowers that day. Thankfully I was able to contact another flower store that could make the delivery inside my requested window (quote: "That will be no problem at all!"), so the surprise wasn't entirely ruined. 5th Ave has obviously missed the point of the "flower buying experience" and how its not just the flowers, but also the experience of purchasing flowers, that makes the whole process a joyful one for both the purchaser AND receiver of the flowers. No one wants to spend $75 upward and feel horrible afterwards for it. 5th Ave has lost a customer for life, and I hope any potential customers who are reading this review. If you want to experience the enjoyment of buying flowers for those you love, you won't get that with 5th Ave, I was instead left with an experience that gave me a very bad taste in my mouth which I had to overcome before I could refocus my energies to celebrating my partner's exciting accomplishment! Thanks for reading this review!

Not very helpful

I went to 5th ave. floral for my first time the other day because I knew they had been around for awhile and thought they must still be in business because they are great. Well, I'm wondering how they are still in business because the lady I dealt with was not very helpful or friendly. The flowers are reasonably priced, but I'm not sure my bouquet really looked the best. Oh well, my friend appreciated them anyways, but would probably not go back to this florist again.
